Check out the nice article that the Curry Coastal Pilot did on us on April 18, 2009:

In January of 2009, it was decided that something new in Brookings/Harbor area would be a good thing.  Rosie Dieter decided to divide her shopping center into small shoppes that would be a gathering of several different vendors who would promote their own brand of products.

Louise Shaw was one of Rosie's first consignors.  Louise has been in business in this area for several years.  She spent many years at the Pacific Antique Mall and also spent summers down at the Port of Brookings Harbor at the outside market place.  Louise sells many collectibles along with items her mother loves to sew.  Louise also has a successful eBay business where she sells for herself and her loyal clients. Rosie Dieter, has appointed Louise the Manager of the English Village Shoppes.

Karen Clark joined this adventure in February.  Karen had worked previously with Louise both at the Antique Mall and at the Market Place down at the Port.  Karen has been active in selling on the internet for a few years.  She needed a place to promote her product locally.

Craig Barnes is displaying his creations of wood and stone furniture.  He also has pieces of sculpture he has made in wood.

We were all excited when we found out that Debra Wells was joining our team.  Debra also had been at the Pacific Antique Mall and had a business on the North side of Brookings, The Porch Swing.  She has many lovely items showing her skill in picking beautiful items for her customers to choose from.

In mid April, Elmo Williams moved some of his antiques, art and movie memorabilia into the Shop where Karen Clark has her Rustic Lady merchandise.  Elmo and Karen have worked together for quite a few years with Karen selling his items on the Internet.  We plan to showcase Elmo's beautiful and unique items.  Be sure to come to enjoy them!  Elmo has an antique English farm house wedding cupboard engraved 1721; which is like having living history right here in our shop!  Elmo and Karen will be bringing in his items throughout the month of April.
